When I arrived tenant showed me where carpet was soaked in bedroom next to firnance. I began to remove grill from under furnance and found that there was lots of standing water underneath furnance and the furnance was leaking from the drain base and the drain pvc was not connected. I removed cover to furnance and found that the drip pan was full of water and it was leaking onto the floor. I turned off the a/c and began to vaccum the water from the underneath the furnance and around the base of the furnance, and vaccumed up water from carpet in bedroom. I removed the pvc drain from furnance and replaced the connection to copper drain with a pvc adapter and connected drain back with main drain. Then I removed the pvc adapter from furnance and added teflon tape to thread and installed a cap on the secondary output to furnance where water was leaking from as well. I blew out the pvc pipe and drip pan to clear sludge. Then I connected pvx adapter back and pvc cemented all parts together. Cover to furnance was se used back in and turned on the a/c again. Checked for leaks on pvc pipe and on drip pan to furnance and no more water was leaking out. I continued to suction water from carpet and left a carpet fan in bedroom pointing towards wet area of carpet. Advised tenant that i would come back on Monday to add a mildew treatment to floor and walls, install new ac filter and pickup the fan.
