Resident said: Air conditioner is not cooling Additional Details: The AC unit that covers most of the house (living room, kitchen, dining, formal dining, and bedroom) is not cooling down like it should. It is noticeably hotter on that side. I thought it was because the outside temp was hotter than normal, but it is now almost midnight and it won’t cool at all which even last summer, was not doing this. It’s currently 73 outside and it won’t cool below 76 in the house. Probable Diagnosis: AC obstructed air ducts MAX™ Also Learned: - Still hot Troubleshooting Steps: - Only part of home too hot, not entire home Permission to Enter: No Entry Notes: Dog

the system wasn’t cooling because it was low on refrigerant. We added two pounds of refrigerant and cleaned the dirty condenser coil.

I ended up turning the AC off this morning. The AC unit outside was very loud and making sounds I haven’t heard before. I’ll keep it off until someone comes out just in case.
